I'm having serious writers block. I've had it for a long time. And it's pissing me off. So let's see how this goes.....
I went running last Thursday. It's the first strenuous activity I've done since before I was pregnant. That was 2 years ago, and I'm paying for it. Ever since Friday I've had like weird, awful, contraction like pains all around my stomach, and my legs feel.........swollen? But they're not? I don't really know, but I can't go up or down stairs or sit down without.......whimpering? Yeah, I guess you could call it that.
Uhh......yesterday I froze 114 ears worth of corn OFF the cob, which is definitely not as wonderful as corn on the cob, but I guess it will do. It took me like 5 hours and I only got like 15 quarts of corn. And I gave 2 quarts away because, well, I'm a good person like that.
OH! I had a nail appointment yesterday with a 10 year old haha. She did a pretty good job, and it was definitely worth my 2 dollars. She even gave me a punch card and my 5th appointment is FREE. She was ridiculously professional, for a 10 year old.
I'm watching the original version of the movie Arthur. It's different, but it's still pretty funny. I still love Russel Brand and it's kind of weird that the original Hobson was a man, but I'll get over it, because I've decided that I love Liza Minnelli.
Wellllll, I shouldn't really be blogging because I have to make 10 or 12 (I haven't decided yet) soft baby blocks before Saturday because I have two baby showers to attend. I'll put pics up because they are fabulous. Maybe a tutorial??? Hmmm.......I've never done one. But if you want a tutorial, leave a comment and let me know and I'll see what I can do.
Peace out for now, bitches.

Flash Back: Glad I'm Not 13 Anymore
So my mom has been cleaning out her craft room. My mom is The.Craft.Queen. When I was in 6th grade and my older brothers had moved out, I got one of the bigger bed rooms in the basement and my mom turned my old room upstairs into her craft haven. It is chuck full of stuff for scrapbooking, sewing, painting, all of that fun stuff, and I wanted to take a before and after picture (cause you could barely move in there), but she wouldn't let me. She has found some pretty interesting stuff though!
Exibit A:
This is my old purse. Classy right?

This is what she found in it:
One pen
3 lip products (and you know I piled all of them on at once!)
A notebook with my friends' phone numbers
Mini-calculator
43 cents
My charm bracelet
Some sort of retail tag for $6.50
A movie ticket from 6/09/2004
That lipstick is purple. PURPLE. When Cangrejo saw the lip gloss and the little mirror he was really surprised that my mom let me wear make-up when I was 13. She didn't let me wear THAT much, and I still had to beg her to let me shave my legs.
The contents of my purse are SO Never Been Kissed. (Which may or may not explain why people called me Josie Grossie.) The phone numbers in the notebook are for LAND LINES. I didn't know anyone with a cell phone under the age of like 21 back then. The movie ticket doesn't say what movie it was for, but I did some research and I'm thinking it was for Mean Girls because I remember seeing that one with my friend Brandie. Oh, and the charm bracelet??? Yeah, I'm pretty sure I was one of the last girls in my entire school to get one, because I got it for my birthday in April, and then after summer break was over and we went back to school in August, no one was wearing them. Story of my life. Being 13 sucked. I'm so glad I don't have to do it again.
Oh and check out this awesome sewing pattern. My mom always sewed my dresses for church cause we didn't really have the money to buy them. If there's one thing that I've learned in my 20 years of life, it's that me and my mother DO NOT have the same taste in clothing, and I'm glad I'm finally at the point that I'll be honest with her about it, or I might still be wearing this stuff.

Foto Friday
I've had lots of blogging material lately and I haven't been able to get much of it up, which disappoints me. We went camping this week and so I've got some good stuff from that, including the two little girls from the campground that took over the bathroom, but that's for another day. Hopefully tomorrow. So seeing as there's 36 minutes left of Friday where I'm at, I'm declaring today Foto Friday and I'm going to include just a few of my favorite pics from my phone over the last week (or two).
Isabel loves helping unload the dishwasher.
When we went camping we barely had enough room for everything. Isabel was crammed in the backseat with a bunch of other stuff. We need a bigger vehicle.
We took this at the rest stop that overlooks Bear Lake. It's GORGEOUS there FYI. We didn't take very many pictures with my phone because we went ghetto and got a couple disposable cameras. I'll see what I can do to get those up when we have the money to get them developed.....which might be never.
Have I ever mentioned how much I love this little girl's smile? She went home early from camping because she refused to sleep in the tent, so my mom met us and took her home with her. I cried that night because I felt bad for sending her home, so her smile was just that much better today.
This is her squinty eyed smile that she does when people laugh at her and give her lots of attention. She milks it for all it's worth.
I made this :) My friends little girl turned 6 so I made this for her gift. She can hang it on the wall and put hair clips or pictures on it or whatever. She loved it. I got an iRock thing that's kind of like a bedazzler only better and handheld, so I put the C on it because her name is Celeste. I've made one before this one and I'm thinking about selling them, but I get bored really fast and I'm not sure I could make them for an extended amount of time.
Cangrejo, Isabel, and I went to the only pupuseria in the valley for some pupusas (YUM) the other day and I took a picture of this. 'En Dios Confiamos' translates into 'In God We Trust'. It's painted in blue and white, the same colors as the Salvadoran flag. Awesome? I think so. So many people say that if you come here from another country that you should abandon your culture and adapt to the American way of life. While I don't really agree with that.....at all....., I think that this is a good representation of holding on to where you come from and at the same time grasping something that means so much to the country that you are now a part of.
